Pastoral Transitions
The transition from one pastor to another represents one of the most tramatic changes in congregational life. An intentional interim pastor can provide help in celebrating the past, assessing the present, and envisioning a new future. This increases the potential for success in calling of a new leader. I can assist in clarifying issues to be considered, and building corporate consensus in moving forward.
Mission Enterprises
Few things impact a congregation more than exposure to a different culture and there is no greater catalyst for spiritual growth than service. Whether developing an intigrated missions stragety or preparing and/or leading a short-term missions team, an experienced facilitator can help. My love for and exposure to a variety of cultures people can assit in successful connections.
Short Term Projects
Some short-term projects benefit from direction by an outside consultant. These include developing new ministries or raising funds for a project or capital campaign, having objective eyes on the evaluation of current ministries or re-thinking a church's strategic plan or re-envisioning values and purpose. I have diagnostic skills and faciliation experience that can make such projects a reality.
Sabbatical Support
More churches recognize the benefit of providing a sabbatical for the pastor from the stress of ministry Yet fewer than 30% of churches make such provision. A short-term interim while a pastor is on sabbatical or study leave keeps the church on course and prepared for the return of their refreshed minister. My heart would be to support and encourage both pastor and congregation during their period of separation.
